The Chinese Government Scholarship — Chinese University Program, a full scholarship set up by the Ministry of Education of China (MOE) in 2008, is aimed at promoting Chinese higher education brand on an international basis. Enrolment is managed directly by China’s key universities.
Full scholarship includes tuition, lodging, living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance.
Eligibility
(1) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
(2) Applicants should meet either of the following eligibility requirements:
① not be a registered student at a China’s university at the time of application;
② Education background and age limit:
Applicants for bachelor’s degree must be under the age of 25
Applicants for master’s degree studies must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
Silk Road Scholarship Programs established by the Ministry of Education of China (hereinafter referred to as MOE), aiming to promote people to people bond, provide talents support and achieve mutual development. This scholarship program targets at students from countries along the Belt and Road. The enrollment is directly managed by a part of Chinese higher institutions. MOE entrusts China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC) to keep the enrollment record and carry out the routine management. Please be noted that Silk Road Programs only open for Belt and Road countries. The scholarship coverage and the application procedure of this scholarship program is totally the same as Chinese Government Scholarship—Chinese University Program (CGS—CUP). Students can only apply for one program and cannot change the program type by themselves. The scholarship includes tuition, lodging, living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance.
Confucius Institute Scholarship Program:
The Confucius Institute Scholarship Program was established by Han ban/Confucius Institute Headquarters in order to encourage students and Chinese language teachers all over the world to study Chinese or conduct research regarding Chinese language and culture in China.
